Rozalin - Her Story

This section will attempt to explain Rozalin's backstory in a chronological order, rather than the game order.

Overlord Zenon is a famous and well-known "God of All Overlords" for being known to have slain about 1000 other Overlords, 99 on the day she left and hid somewhere. According to her testimony, we can infer that while she had friends, several of them backstabbed her. It's possible that a few of those Overlords she slain were friends of hers who wanted to slay her, first.

So, she did the only thing she could think of to stop all of the bloodshed. She effectively "died", reincarnating herself to become a member of the Snow Melody Clan. However, only a few years after this peaceful life Zenon always wanted, some idiot prick who she spanked a few years back decided to burn down the village in his hunt for her, and kidnap her.

The old "rival" then dubbed himself as Overlord Zenon, and began draining the human conscience and memory from the inhabitants of Veldime, causing them to turn into demons in her former name. He then locked her away into a mansion, pretending to be her father, so she would be "humiliated" in his eyes.

That is why when Adell's family summoned Overlord Zenon, instead of the fake Zenon they summoned the reincarnation of the real Zenon... Rozalin. However, having no memory of her past life and believing the fake Zenon to be the true Zenon, of course Rozalin wouldn't know what was going on.

Aside from that being a major clue in the first place, the next major odd thing that would definitely set someone off is at the Shinra Tower, the second to last chapter; Rozalin is shown to not at all be normal, when Laharl shatters the seal and unleashes the true Overlord Zenon persona.

In the final chapter, Rozalin asks her preincarnation for the power to protect her friends. Zenon refuses to believe that Rozalin's feelings of friendship and love are real, as she herself has endured probably centuries upon centuries of betrayal and hurt. However, Rozalin's life and adventures with Adell must have influenced her somehow, as once Adell planted that kiss onto her, Zenon decided to once again sleep and "Rozalin" was dominant once again.
