Information - Fate

Not much is known of what happens to Emeralda in Episode VI, but it's a question worth asking. Emeralda is the only one of her kind, and what would happen if somehow she became ill, and nobody could fix her? Not to mention we have no idea what her lifespan would be like. Not to be a pessimist or anything, but I find it hard to believe that the world of Xenogears could just suddenly be all happily-ever-after once the destruction of Deus took place. Even the spiritual successor to Xenogears, Xenosaga, does not end on a super-duper-happily-ever-after-let's-have-mad-sex note; there were still some problems with the UMN and such.

I can only imagine the types of problems that Episode VI would have faced, should the game have continued onto a series. Shevat is still in ruins, and it's not like the land they crash-landed in is fit for habitation. Aveh and Kislev would most likely not exactly be buddy-buddy either, and what of the remaining Wels, mutants, demi-humans, and Solarians? Let's not forget Nisan, and the strain that both states would put Bart and Margie in.

Not to mention that I wouldn't be surprised at all if the world developed into another Zeboiim again, with nuclear powers all tossing about nukes and biological warfare, and people popping people-enhancement pills like crack. Humanity's nature does not change; Miang's numerous attempts at resetting humanity is a testament to this, not to mention our own human history.

I would not even be surprised if in the future of the Xenogears timeline, somebody would take it as far as to mass-produce children like Emeralda. Oh, wait, they already do that in Xenosaga; they're called Realians, also treated as second-class citizens.
