This episode is based on events that happen in chapters 36 and 37 of the manga.

The opening scene is new. The Yggdrasil moderators don't show up until the Welsper arc in the manga, and Lind didn't appear until her own arc.

Lind is sporting her newer colors. In her first appearance (The Aa! Megami-sama quiz game), she had purple hair and purple trim on her uniform. This is true for the cover of volume 25 also, but in the back of volume 26 her hair color changed to blue as well as the trim on her outfit.

Originally, the manga opened up with Belldandy standing on the wreckage of the Tarikihongan, and Skuld blasting away the debris to find the ringing phone. Talking through the phone, Kami-sama told Belldandy that there was nothing Belldandy could do, and that he would punish Urd. Belldandy then hangs up, and then breaks her seal.

Let me say this... Belldandy's battle dress is horrendous. Her dresses in the movie and the manga were way better than this piece of junk. Also, originally, Belldandy's hair color and facial emblems were different colors. Her hair appeared to be white, and her emblems white as well. This is obviously absent from the anime.

The discussion between Lind and Kami-sama is new.

The part about the gravitational pulses is kept, surprisingly.

The part where Keiichi accidently slips about the Ultimate Destruction Program in Marller and Urd's lair was originally right before Belldandy broke her seal. In case any of you don't know, Marller's screaming in pain because Urd rained her with lucky money. It's hard to explain, but basically in some Asian cultures on Lunar New Years people receive lucky money in red envelopes from any married couples and older in their families.

Originally, the part about Sayoko was her sitting down and watching television, and it getting no reception because the satellite was destroyed by a meteor. In the manga there was no mention of destroying a certain amount of buildings... there was a certain amount of meteorites. However, in the manga, most of the meteorites burned up in the atmosphere thanks to Belldandy. However, after that phase, the sky darkened to night. This happens later in the anime.

Since Urd used her powers, she generated a gravitational pulse, so Belldandy could locate her. Keiichi used his Beemer keychain to serve as a reflective surface to enable Belldandy to transport herself to them. Originally, the group wasn't on a building... they were in a cave of some sort.

In the manga, destroying the Earth had nothing to do with creating a world for demons.

While it's insinuated that Skuld is left alone, her whining was not shown in the manga, especially since Belldandy came back and took Skuld to the place where Fenrir was. Skuld didn't travel alone in the manga, and Kami-sama didn't contact her via a cell phone. Kami-sama contacted both Belldandy and Skuld from the sky in order to give them the vaccine.

Holy Bell's appearance is new to the anime. Originally, Belldandy used her own powers to destroy the urn.

When the urn broke, Urd, Marller, and Keiichi were transported out of the cave, with Urd's last will crying out to Belldandy. This is when Kami-sama approached Belldandy and Skuld about the flute.

I have to say, Fenrir's awakening was so much cooler in the manga. Fenrir originally awoke by the chanting of Urd from the prison of a rock.

The conversation between Keiichi and Urd regarding Urd's goddess side is new. Also, originally, there were a couple of scenes in the manga showing the Fenrir disruptiing a U.S. Navy submarine. After that, Fenrir chased an optical illusion of a bone that Skuld made, making it land in a trap that Belldandy had previously set.

Skuld and Kami-sama's conversation is, as previously mentioned, new. The "halo of the Lord of Terror" causing the malfunctions in Yggdrasil is probably referring to Urd's goddess blood.

Originally, Urd threatened Belldandy that she'd turn Keiichi into a human fly, but this is removed... even the part about Keiichi shrinking. This might affect sequences later, since it was a miniature Keiichi that gets infected with the Lord of Terror program.

Urd and Keiichi falling from the top of a building is new, as well as Belldandy saving them and having a touching moment with Keiichi.

Skuld was the one who originally blew the flute of Midgard. In the manga, the prerequisite of being a first class goddess in order to blow the flute is not mentioned.

Sorry if this comparison seemed a little random... since the sequence of events chaged so much, it's hard to find a good flow.
